Petticoats and Politics: New Play Festival

Washington Women in Theatre and Co-Artistic Directors Sidra Rausch and Karen Berman produced the summer festival Petticoats and Politics: New Play Festival at the Warehouse Theatre at 1021 7th Street NW on July 7-10, 2005.

Stella Adler by Sidra Rausch ran Thursday through Saturday, July 7-9 at 7:30 PM with matinees on Saturday and Sunday, July 9-10 at 3 PM. Musical and dramatic One-Acts by Caleen Sinnette Jennings, Joan Cushing, and Rose-Mary Harrington performed Thursday through Saturday, July 7-9 at 10 PM, with matinees on Saturday and Sunday, July 9-10 at 5:30 PM.

Karen Berman directed Stella Adler by Sidra Rausch featuring Marilyn Hausfeld as Stella. Our one-acts festival included Lisa Middleton and Isaiah Wooden directing Caleen Sinnette Jennings' play, Georgina Petronella directing Out of Body Experience by R. Harrington, and Lynn Sharp-Spears and Karin Abromaitis in a satirical musical cabaret with new compositions by Joan Cushing, Sidra Rausch, and Debbie Wicks La Puma.

1:00 PM Benefit Brunch for Washington Women in Theatre at the Warehouse Theatre Sunday, July 10, 2005 before the show. Tickets $40 or $60 with the show.
